What Is a Vegan Diet?

Today many people are choosing to change their lives and practice veganism, also known as a vegan diet. There are several forms of a vegan diet including dietary vegans, ethical vegans and environmental vegans. Each of these has its own unique set of guidelines to follow detailed by this article.

Dietary vegans

Dietary vegans mainly follow a diet based around eating plants. No consumption of meat and anything that comes from an animal can go into the body. This includes milk as well. Although not able to eat or drink anything coming from an animal, people who are dietary vegans still use products that either come from an animal or were tested on animals (like shampoo).

Ethical vegans

Ethical vegans do not use any product that was tested on an animal or that comes from an animal. So bone and fur are out of the question, as well as whey, honey and leather. There are many things to learn when you live this lifestyle choice. Humans use a lot of products from animals in society.

Environment vegans

While the other two categories of veganism only affect individuals who choose to practice them, environmental vegans believe that animal production is environmentally unstable. When it comes to animal production, environmental vegans are mainly concerned with the pollution that comes with it.

Practicing a vegan lifestyle is a personal choice and one that is growing in popularity. Although it may seem hard to practice at times, there is no one forcing or stopping anyone down the path of veganism; it is personal choice. There are many ways to live life and veganism is just another path people choose to walk.
